3.0 is the biggest update Enhance-d has had. Every screen has been redesigned, and there are new ways to talk to each other, see your glucose without opening the app, and keep yourself going. Thank you to everyone who tested it and told us what was wrong.
✨ New Features
- A new home: The You tab opens on your day: a glucose card with your trace, time in range and latest reading, with carbs, insulin, sleep and activities drawn in lanes underneath. Pinch to zoom, hold to read any moment, and pull sideways to change day. Choose which glucose figures sit on the card, and reorder or hide the cards below it.
- Messages: Chat one to one or in groups, right in the app. Send photos, videos, files and voice notes (with a written transcript made on your phone), @mention people, react, search a conversation, and pin or mute chats. Share an activity, a Group post, an event or a Group straight into a chat. People you don't follow arrive as requests you can accept or decline, and you can block or report from any chat. Messages you send offline go when you are back online.
- Share your live location: In any chat, share where you are for 1, 4, 8 or 24 hours, or until you turn it off. Everyone sharing in a chat appears on one map. Turn it off at any time from the chat or Settings > Live location.
- Group chats: Groups get their own chat, and admins can turn it off or add extra chats with a label, open to everyone or to chosen members.
- Glucose widgets (Pro): Home screen and lock screen widgets for iPhone and Android, with your glucose, trend and how active you have been this week. They go white in StandBy at night so they are as bright as the clock, and you can hide the number while your phone is locked. Find them in Settings > Phone widgets.
- Glucose watch on iPhone (Pro): A Live Activity that keeps your latest glucose on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. Start it from Settings > Phone widgets.
- Spoken glucose: Hear your glucose and laps read out while you record an activity, or all day whenever headphones are connected. Settings > Spoken glucose.
- Meter blood glucose: Log a finger-prick reading from the + sheet. It shows on your glucose traces beside your CGM.
- Log an activity after the fact: Add activity is back on the + sheet, for a session you did not record.
- Metric pages: Tap any figure on the home to open its page, with day, week, month, 6 month and year views, a date picker, and a sentence that says how this period compares with the last.
- Glucose heat map: Your average glucose and time in range by day of the week and hour of the day.
- Menstrual cycle: Glucose, time in range and insulin by cycle phase, with relative and absolute views and which phase runs highest for you.
- Training zones: Set your own heart rate zones or Coggan power zones, from your device, an age estimate or by hand. Past changes are kept with their dates, and carb estimates are recalculated when your zones change.
- Strava post-back: Choose what Enhance-d writes under each of your Strava activities about your glucose, in what order, with a preview of how it will look.
- Streaks, XP and badges: Earn XP for the days you use Enhance-d, keep a Day Streak going, and repair a missed day with a Streak Save (or gift one to a friend). There are 33 badges with their own artwork to collect, share as a story or post, and show on your profile, plus an XP leaderboard.
- Club Shop: Browse and buy Club kit, including made-to-order Bioracer kit with a size guide, from Community.
- Refer a friend: Give a month, get a month. Your friend's first month of Pro is free, and you earn a free month when they stay. Invites and their progress are in Settings > Refer a friend, and months you earn are claimed on our website.
- Link your sign-in methods: Sign in with more than one method on the same account, from Settings > Sign-in methods.
- A few surprises: There are some hidden things to find. We won't say where.
🦋 Improvements
- A redesigned feed: One card for every activity, with time in range and the glucose trace first, the map after, and a glucose scale on every strip. Double-tap a card to like it, and use the suggested openers to start a conversation. Choose whether your activities are public, and switch the feed between Friends and Everyone. Comments and replies can now be up to 2,000 characters.
- Activity pages: The activity leads with its hero, then effort and glucose stats. A new Glucose vs effort page, the Analyse page for stacking any metrics on one time axis, and carbs, insulin and notes on the expanded glucose chart. Every activity type now has its own icon.
- One share screen: Every way to share an activity is in one composer, with story, post and square cards. Rides show speed, and runs, walks and swims show pace.
- Profiles: Photo, name and counts first, your latest activity, your streak and badges, and a map of all your routes that opens full screen. Following opens a menu with Unfollow and Remove follower.
- Community and Learn: Both are now hubs of large cards. Community brings together Groups, the leaderboard, friends and the Club Shop. Learn brings together the course, the book, podcasts and tools, and every Learn tool leads with its answer.
- Groups: Group pages lead with threads, subgroups sit inside their parent and can be pinned, events are a single screen, and resources can be shared to a chat or mentioned in a post. Anyone can report a post or comment.
- Logging: The + sheet is a grid of tiles. Add several food items to a meal at once, search foods and scan barcodes with one camera frame, and edit carbs, insulin and notes on the same screens you add them.
- Sleep: A Sleep Duration card, your bedtime at the top of Sleep Time, overnight glucose variability, and each night is dated by the day you wake up.
- Settings: Regrouped, searchable, with Privacy on its own page and a back button on every page.
- Navigation: One bottom bar on almost every screen, and a redesigned tab bar.
- Glooko: History syncs in small pieces that keep their progress and finish in the background, pen doses come in, CamAPS FX mode changes show as notes, and meals are no longer counted twice. Every region is tried before a password is called wrong.
- Tandem: Pump alarms and CGM alerts appear on your timeline, history picks up where it stopped, gaps after the phone was offline are filled, and reconnecting no longer duplicates readings.
- Medtronic CareLink: Uploads only new data instead of the whole day on every check, and correction boluses arrive as correction insulin.
- Dexcom Share and LibreLinkUp: Dexcom Share keeps syncing through a Dexcom login outage, and a wrong LibreLinkUp password stops retrying until you sign in again.
- Fresher readings: Cloud CGM connections now check for a new reading when the sensor is due to make one, instead of five minutes after the last check.
- Sync status that explains itself: Integrations say when Glooko or Tandem has had no new data for hours, how far back a history sync has reached, and why a connection is stuck, instead of "History sync in progress".
- Background sync on Android: If Android stops the always-on sync service, a watchdog brings it back. This needs the Alarms & reminders permission, which the app asks for.
- xDrip+ and Juggluco on the same phone: The first sync now backfills the full 3.5 days, and readings are kept until they have uploaded, so an outage no longer loses them. The same applies to mylife and Medtronic.
- Notifications in your language: The app's language is saved to your profile, so notifications arrive in it too.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Editing a short activity: Re-saving an activity under 1 km saved it as 1,000 times the distance. Fixed.
- Background sync with notifications turned off (iPhone): If you had declined notifications, the app never registered for the silent pushes that drive background sync. It now does.
- Pro users downgraded by mistake: The integration limit could count a paying subscriber as free on a cold start. It now waits for your subscription to be confirmed.
- Signing out: Nothing from the last account (messages waiting to send, an unsaved recording, a Live Activity) can carry over to the next one.
- Carbs from a barcode: FatSecret products logged the carbs per serving as per 100 g. Fixed.
- A second bolus near a meal was hidden on the glucose trace. It now shows.
- Insulin on board on the home showed a projected future value. It now shows the figure for now.
- Feed menus: Hide, unhide and delete now update the card straight away, and the menu always opens for the card you tapped.
- Reports that didn't send: Flag post and Flag comment said a report was sent without sending it. They now send it.
- Resync over the clock change: The 90-day preset was rejected around the end of October. Fixed.
- Podcast downloads were lost after an app update on iPhone. They now survive it.
- Birth and diagnosis dates could be saved a day early east of UK time. Fixed.
- And many more: Over 150 smaller fixes to groups, events, charts, logging and settings.
🌍 Translations
- Every string, every language: Every missing translation has been filled in all 17 languages, and wrong-sense strings found along the way are corrected.
- Dates in your language: Dates written in words follow the app's language, not the phone's.
- Clearer text: Romanian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Turkish now draw all text in one font, instead of mixing fonts for accented letters.
📝 Notes
- 3.0 needs iOS 16.4 or later. Android needs Android 9 or later, as before.
- Glucose widgets and the Glucose watch are Pro features, like the watch link.
- Menstrual cycle analysis beyond your current phase is now part of Pro.
- If you pay for Pro on our website, the app now recognises it and shows it under Manage subscription, so you will not be asked to pay again in the app.
- Messages asks for the microphone only when you record a voice note or video, and live location only when you choose to share it.
- Smart glasses support is not in this release.
- This build is available on iOS and Android.
