Version 3.1.0

Your glucose live, even with the app closed

Enhance-d 3.1 keeps your latest glucose current on the lock screen, in widgets and in Android's notification bar after you swipe the app away. It adds glucose alerts for lows, highs and missing data, Oral-B toothbrush support with brushing insights, a Food card that compares your macros with your daily needs, and an optional weekly summary email.

Released 30 October 2026

3.1 is about seeing your glucose without opening the app. Your latest reading now stays current on the lock screen, in widgets and in Android's notification bar, even after you swipe Enhance-d away. It also adds glucose alerts, Oral-B toothbrush support and a new Food card.

โœจ New Features

  • Glucose on your lock screen (iPhone): Your latest reading, trend arrow, change and how old it is show on the lock screen, in the Dynamic Island, in StandBy and in the Apple Watch Smart Stack. It keeps updating after you swipe the app away. It turns on by itself for anyone with recent glucose readings, and you can turn it off in Settings > Widgets > Keep glucose on my lock screen.
  • Live always-on notification (Android): The ongoing sync notification now shows your latest reading with its unit, trend arrow, age and whether you're in range. With "hide when locked" on, it shows the zone instead of the number.
  • Glucose alerts (Pro): New in Settings > Glucose alerts. Choose urgent low (always on while alerts are on), low, high, rising or falling fast, predicted low, and no data after a set number of minutes. Thresholds use your own glucose unit. Set quiet hours (they never silence urgent low) and snooze for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours. On iPhone you can let urgent lows sound through silent mode and Focus. Alerts go to every phone signed in to your account.
  • Oral-B toothbrushes: Pair an Oral-B Bluetooth toothbrush from Integrations. Brushing sessions sync in the background, and the device page shows battery, last session and sync health.
  • Brushing insights: Twice-a-day streak, average length, a week grid, bedtime pattern and pressure, and brushing after night-time hypos, over 7, 30 or 90 days. Brushing sessions are also marked on your home glucose chart.
  • Log brushing by hand: No brush? Turn on brushing in Settings > Health > Brushing, then log a brush from the + sheet.
  • Food card: The Food card on Home shows each macro against your daily need and its recommended range, for example "72 g / 293-488 g". It says where your need comes from (your tracker's burn, an estimate from your height, weight and age, or a general guide), and "Need and ranges" shows your resting and active burn and the references behind the numbers.
  • Weekly summary email: An optional email with your week's time in range, activity and more. Set it up in Settings > Notifications > Email > Weekly summary: weekly or monthly, day and time, which sections to include, and whether numbers appear in the subject line. Once you have a full week of CGM data, Home offers it. Tap "Not now" twice and it won't ask again.

๐Ÿฆ‹ Improvements

  • Home screen widgets fetch their own readings: Widgets now ask your glucose source themselves instead of waiting for the app to open. iPhone widgets refresh as often as iOS allows, usually every 15 to 30 minutes. Android widgets also refresh from a background job.
  • The app opens straight to your latest reading: Your cached readings show at once, a new reading appears without a reload, and pull-to-refresh asks your CGM source directly.
  • Live status line: The home header shows your glucose source and how old the latest reading is. The latest reading greys out once it's old.
  • Paused updates are clear: If no reading arrives for 20 minutes, the lock screen says "Updates paused, open Enhance-d", and the app reminds you sooner than before.
  • Manage cards: Features that are off, such as brushing and the menstrual cycle, sit under Hidden marked "Off ยท drag up to turn on". Drag one up to turn it on.
  • Posts: The text box grows as you type, and photos keep their own shape in a swipeable carousel.
  • Chat photos: Crop before sending, and pinch to zoom when viewing.
  • Activity details: An energy breakdown now sits below the glucose and insulin cards, and activity chart cards show a preview strip instead of a "View" button.
  • Search: Every search field has a clear (X) button.
  • Spoken glucose: Pauses your music or podcast while it speaks, then resumes it. On Android it uses your accent and waits for headphones to connect before speaking.
  • Faster images: Photos, avatars, feed images and route maps are kept on your phone, so they load faster and use less data.
  • Maps on Android: The world map no longer freezes when zoomed out. Pins are grouped and drawn faster, and your own pins sit on top.
  • GlucoseGo: Exercise risk now shows as the published band (<1%, 1-5%, 5-20%, >20%) instead of an estimated percentage.
  • Glucose Glide: Players who never chose how they appear on leaderboards are asked once, so they no longer show as anonymous silhouettes.

๐Ÿ› Bug Fixes

  • Medtronic CareLink readings that arrive late are no longer skipped.
  • Following more than 1,000 people no longer shows an empty feed.
  • Opening an activity with no route and a single photo no longer crashes.
  • The feed glucose strip draws a smoother line, shows gaps as dashes, and its band labels no longer overlap.
  • On iPhone, a background sync that iOS pauses partway through is no longer logged as an error.

๐ŸŒ Translations

  • Corrected Romanian activity names, share card text and activity stats.
  • Sync error messages are now translated.
  • Brushing and the Food card are available in all 18 app languages.

๐Ÿ“ Notes

  • Glucose on the lock screen, alerts and widgets work with LibreLinkUp, Dexcom Share, Glooko, CareLink, t:connect, mylife and local Nightscout, as well as sources we sync on our servers.
  • Alerts are for information only. They don't replace the alarms in your CGM or pump app.
  • Glucose alerts are a Pro feature.
  • Oral-B pairing asks for Bluetooth only when you start pairing.
  • This build is available on iOS and Android.
