Nightscout times correct after the clock change

After the clocks went back on 1 November, some people's Nightscout glucose, carbs, insulin and insulin on board were saved hours out. Data now lands at the right time.

Released 3 November 2026

Most Nightscout uploaders, such as Loop and the Dexcom app, send times in UTC with a time zone offset of zero. We trusted that zero once a connection had shown two different offsets, as a sign you were travelling. A clock change looks exactly like that.

馃悰 Bug Fixes

  • Hours out after the clock change: Since the clocks went back, some people's glucose, carbs, insulin and insulin on board were stored as if they were in UTC. An offset of zero is no longer taken at face value: your time zone comes from your own records instead, so if you really are on UTC nothing changes for you.

馃摑 Notes

  • Nothing to update or reconnect. This is a change on our servers.
