Nightscout sync handles time zones and slow sites better
Nightscout glucose now lands at the right time more often, a slow Nightscout site no longer holds up a sync for long, and Dexcom, Tidepool and Nightscout cope better when a request fails.
Released 12 January 2026
馃悰 Bug Fixes
Glucose at the right time: Nightscout timestamps written in different time zone formats, including UTC and ones with the offset repeated, are now read correctly.
Missing time zones: Nightscout and other glucose readings with no time zone now fall back to the time zone we know you were in, instead of being treated as UTC.
Failed requests: When a request to Dexcom, Tidepool or Nightscout failed without any reply, sync could trip over it. It now handles this cleanly.
馃 Improvements
No more waiting on a slow site: Requests to your Nightscout site now give up after 10 seconds instead of waiting indefinitely.
