Dashboard summary to include range descriptions
Really like the new dahboard, looks amazing and very clean - well done! In the summary section i would add GMI as an important metric and add detail on glycemic ranges (TIR: 3.9 - 10 mmol/L; Hyperglycemia: > 10 mmol/L,....). For us this seems to be a no-brainer but often times people ask about the exact ranges during consultation
Thanks Thomas Züger… The GMI is on our roadmap already elsewhere but great shout about the explicit ranges. We will get this added to our roadmap 💪 Thank you
Henry Aspden Great to hear. Since GMI is one of the core metrics and probably gives more information (or at least comparability with HbA1c) than just the average, i would still suggest to have it in the summary of the dashboard (probably replacing the average glucose to keep it as simple as possible on the dashboard). For many people with diabetes HbA1c (=GMI) is the core metric for glucose controle. Might shift in the future.
Thomas Züger yes absolutely... When I said elsewhere, I meant on another post here on Canny 🙏🏼 I personally think that TIR and GMI are the two most important metrics I use as a patient, next would be Time Below Range to ensure that a low GMI is not artificially being cause by Time Below Range. Would you agree, with both your clinician and patient hats on ? Thanks as always 👍🏼 P.s. won't life be great when CGM data overtakes the need for A1C values and they becomes a thing of the past...
Henry Aspden absolutely agree. Still guess, that it will take some time until CGM completely replaces A1c, since all the hard outcome studies regarding complications and mortality have been performed on A1c
Thomas Züger Do you think the range in the graph is explanatory enough? or do you feel it needs the ranges by the widgets ? or perhaps a tooltip with hoveover the "Jargon" words. Henry Aspden Puhh, difficult one. The hover over function makes it more clean and versatile, but i still slightly prefer the ranges by the widgets like in the first picture. This is getting especially important when dealing with pregnant individuals. But both solutions are good. As long as we can clearly recognize the exact ranges
Thanks Thomas Züger I'm assuming customisable target ranges would also be nice down the line too then, especially for managing gestational and T1D through pregnancy?
Henry Aspdenindeed, yes. Especially if it is easy to adjust. Would differentiate enhance-d from other competitors
