Glucose, Carbohydrates (and insulin coming soon)

There is no direct integration between Medtronic and Enhance-d (yet), but you can use a workaround involving third-party tools. This method allows you to send glucose data from Medtronic CareLink to Enhance-d through Nightscout.

These solutions are DIY and Open Source, and as such, any acquisition of information from these sources should be used for informational purposes only and should not used for any medical decisions or treatments.​

  1. Create A nightscout site

    Nightscout is a personal website to host your glucose data on, that you can integrate with many DIY solutions (garmin watches, bedsite clocks, alexa etc.)
    ​
    There are many ways you can setup and host your personal Nightscout website to store and forward glucose data.
    ​

  2. Install xDrip+

    Download and install xDrip+ on your Android device.

  3. Set Up xDrip+ to get data from Medtronic Carelink

    • Go to Settings β†’ Data Sources.

    • Select Hardware Data Source and choose CareLink Follower (you may need to select another option during first setup setup).

  4. Configure xDrip+ to Upload Data to Nightscout

    • In xDrip+, go to Cloud Upload Settings.

    • Enable Upload to Nightscout.

    • Enter your Nightscout URL and API Secret (found in your Nightscout4U account).

  5. Check That Nightscout Is Receiving Data

    1. Open your Nightscout website in a browser.

    2. Confirm that your glucose data from Medtronic is appearing.

    3. If not, go back to xDrip+ and select Backfill Data under Extra Options β†’ Nightscout Sync Settings.

  6. Integrate Nightscout with Enhance-d

    1. Open the Enhance-d app.

    2. Go to Integrations.

    3. Select Nightscout and enter:
      βœ… Your Nightscout URL
      βœ… Your API Secret from your Nightscout4U account

    4. Save the settings.

  2. Install Guardian Monitor

    Download and install Guardian Monitor from the app store on your device.

  3. Log into Guardian Monitor with your CareLink details

    When prompted for your carelink details, log into the Guardian Monitor app, log in using your Carelink credentials.

  4. Configure Guardian Monitor to Upload Data to Nightscout

    • In Gudardian Monitor go into the settings

    • Enable Upload to Nightscout.

    • Enter your Nightscout URL and API Secret (found in your Nightscout4U account).

  5. Check That Nightscout Is Receiving Data

    1. Open your Nightscout website in a browser.

    2. Confirm that your glucose data from Medtronic is appearing.

    1. Open the Enhance-d app.

    2. Go to Integrations.
